This is an incinerator and heating plant. Pretty snazzy, eh? It was designed by Austrian painter and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser, who also designed the famous Hundertwasser Haus of Vienna.
The first time I saw this (from a distance while crossing the Donau), I thought it was Hundertwasserhaus because of the crazy architecture. I didn't know that Hundertwasser also designed Vienna's incinerator and heating plant. It's an interesting idea.
